Activities Coordinator
Exciting full-time position requiring a dynamic individual with a strong desire to design and implement a comprehensive activities program for those aged 60 and over in the Albright LIFE program. The Activities Coordinator will develop and implement the general activities program and work with the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to develop specialized small group activities to meet specific needs. In addition, the Activities Coordinator will complete activities, assessments, and provide input for team meetings and care plans. The Activities Coordinator will help train staff to provide some individual or one-on-one activity and will assist the CTRS with Recreational Therapy. The ideal candidate will be a team oriented individual with a desire to excel. Must have a bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree with a major in recreation therapy, recreation, or like field with special populations; and three years experience in a social or recreational program providing and coordinating services for a frail or elderly population within the last 5 years.
Driver
Full-time. Provides safe and timely transportation services to all Albright LIFE participants to and from home, Adult Day Centers, doctor appointments, or any other destination deemed appropriate by the multidisciplinary team in addition to any and all transport/DME (Durable Medical Equipment) services including but not limited to related work as required. Ensures that transportation is provided to Albright LIFE participants in a safe manner that is efficient and provides customer satisfaction.
Program Assistant
Part-time. Provides physical assistance and attendant care to participants across care settings (Center, home, transportation). Provides assistance with nursing care, restorative therapies, personal care, activities, and meals across care settings. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services to frail elderly participants according to assigned responsibilities and Albright LIFE standards. Must have one year experience working with a frail or elderly population and successfully pass the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Nurse Aide Competency Examination and be registered with the Department of Health, or be deemed eligible to sit for the Competency Exam.
